EXPERIENCE AND PHILOSOPHY
Since graduating with my Masters in Speech-Language Pathology from the University of Alberta in 2008, I have worked with preschool, kindergarten, and school-age children in a number of settings, including Early Education, inclusive preschool and kindergarten classrooms, and one-on-one or group therapy. I have experience with functional and standardized assessments for speech and language skills. I have worked with children with a range of speech, language, and communication needs.
As a musician, I have studied piano, voice, and oboe, and completed a Bachelor of Music degree in oboe performance at McGill University. I’ve worked as a freelance oboist and oboe teacher, and have sung in a number of choirs, including Òran and Chronos Vocal Ensemble in Edmonton. I am thrilled to be able to offer Music Together Within Therapy. I believe music is a powerful tool to support speech, language, and communication skills. I also know that music, like communication, has a beautiful way of building connections and bringing people together.
